HILMA STUDIES: SWANS

26/02/17

Sunday February 26th at 12.15 pm.

HILMA STUDIES: SWANS

Opening of an art exhibition in the church’s vestibule after service.

Jón B. Ransu exhibits new works of art.

The artist on the exhibition:

Most human religions are based on the presumption that other worlds than our own exist, be they worlds of gods, angels or just other dimensions. The Swedish artist Hilma af Klint (1862-1944) devoted a large part of her artistic career interpreting and visualising the alignment of two worlds, materialising clearly in the art pieces she called Swans.

For the exhibition Hilma Studies: Swans, the artist Jón B. K. Ransu has scrutinized these pieces by Hilma af Klint and applied her experiments to his own visualisations.

The exhibition is open until May 14th. Curator: Rósa Gísladóttir.

Free admittance.
