Singing the summer away – Schola Cantorum’s final summer concert tomorrow

All summer long, Hallgrímskirkja has resonated with the clear and beautiful tones of Schola Cantorum, the chamber choir of the church. This year, the theme of their summer concert series has been contemporary Icelandic choir music and folk songs. We have had a large audience this year at our concerts, in fact larger than ever before, and the guests have been most happy with this insight into Icelandic musical heritage. Tomorrow, Wednesday August 21, is the very last of these beautiful and touching summer concerts, featuring a mixture of new and old pieces chosen to fit the ample resonance of the church.

The concert starts at 12 noon.

Tickets at the entrance one hour before the concert. Admission is 2500 ISK, tea and coffee after the concert included.
