In 2013 Denis Makhankov graduated as an organist from the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory as an organist. During his studies he won various international youth piano and organ competitions e.g. in Kaliningrad, St. Petersburg, and Moscow. He has also participated in master classes e.g. in Finland, Germany and France.
Denis Makhankov has given concerts and participated at organ festivals both all over Russia and in Europe and since 2014 he has formed a duo with Dina Ikhina. Since 2012 he has, of which he has worked in establishing organ festivals in Estonia and in West Russia, of some he has been the artistic director. He has placed emphasis on introducing organ music in the Karelia region in Russia (joint borders with Finland) and both he and Dina Ikhina have received recognition for their initiative.
Dina Ikhina studied first at the L.V. Sobinov Saratov State Conservatory and in 2011 she completed her MMus in organ at the St. Petersburg state University and in 2014 she finished postgraduate studies in organ at the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory. She became a laureate of various international organ competitions and participated in several master-classes e.g. in the Netherlands, Austria and Germany.
Dina performed solo and ensemble concerts in many Russian cities and in Europe. Since 2014 Dina forms an organ duo with Denis Makhankov.
Dina Ikhina is an art director of a few organ festivals in Estonia and in the Karelia region. Dina is one of the organizers and inspirers of a charity project aimed at raising funds for the restoration of historic organs and she has received recognition for such projects. Since 2013 she is a teacher at the N.A. Rimsky-Korsakov St. Petersburg State Conservatory.
Tickets are sold online on midi.is and at the entrance one hour before the concert. Admission 2000 ISK for the lunchtime concert ( 30 min) and 2500 ISK for the Sunday concert ( 60 min).
