3.10 pm Hymns of a new age. The chamber choir Schola cantorum, conducted by Hörður Áskelsson and saxophone player and composer Sigurður Flosason present and perform new hymns by Flosason and poet Aðalsteinn Ásberg Sigurðsson. Flosason frames the performance with improvisation on the saxophone.
3.55 pm Hallgrímskirkja’s carillon chimes. Hymns resound on „Cultural night.
4 pm Sing-a-long with the Klais organ!
4.10 pm The Icelandic Filharmonia Choir sings a programme with various music, conducted by Margnús Ragnarsson.
4.40 pm Lára Bryndís Eggertsdóttir plays chorale preludes on the Klais organ.
4.55 pm Hallgrímskirkja’s carillon chimes. Hymns resound on „Cultural night.
5 pm Sing-a-long with the Klais organ!
5.10 pm The Hallgrímskirkja Motet Choir sings hymn arrangements and motets conducted by Hörður Áskelsson. Bergljót Arnalds sings Heyr, himna smiður with the choir.
5.30 pm Hannfried Lucke, concert organist from Salzburg, performs on the Klais organ.
5.55 pm Hallgrímskirkja’s carillon chimes. Hymns resound on „Cultural night.
6 pm Sing-a-long with the Klais organ!
6.10 pm Umbra performs Maria hymns from the middle ages, an antiphon by Hildegard von Bingen and secular and sacred traditionals. Umbra‘s members are Alexandra Kjeld, Arngerður María Árnadóttir, Lilja Dögg Gunnarsdóttir and Sigrún Harðardóttir.
6.35 pm Björn Steinar Sólbergsson organist at Hallgrímskirkja plays various organ music.
6.55 pm Hallgrímskirkja’s carillon chimes. Hymns resound on „Cultural night.
7 pm Sing-a-long with the Klais organ!
7.10 pm Hildigunnur Einarsdóttir alto and organist Björn Steinar Sólbergsson perform hymns and arias by Bach and others.
7.30 pm Improvisation and hymns. Saxophone player Sigurður Flosason and organist Gunnar Gunnarsson play jazzy arrangements of some well-known hymns.
7.55pm Hallgrímskirkja’s carillon chimes. Hymns resound on „Cultural night.
8 pm ManKan Duet and Midi-Klais. Guðmundur Vignir Karlsson and Tómas Manoury improvise connected to the Midi control system of the Klais organ.
8.30 pm Organ improvisation and chorale preludes. Hannfried Lucke concert organist from Salzburg surprizes the audience with various interpretation on the Klais organ.
9 pm Hallgrímskirkja’s carillon chimes out in to the night.
POP-UP CAFÉ in the south wing of the church to support the Friends of the Arts Society.
