Following the service on 1st Sunday in Advent an exhibition of new works by Icelandic artist Erlingur Páll Ingvarsson will open in the church foyer. Curator: Rósa Gísladóttir. Free admission – all are welcome. Until March 4, 2018.
Art is woven from the light and shadows of human experience. This exhibition is dedicated to illumination in its various forms.
While these works are on display there will be a celebration in remembrance of a child that was the harbinger of light and peace.
At the same time the sun will begin to rise from its lowest point, out of the darkness, casting more light across the land with each passing day. Illumination is movement, it is motivation, it is part of a cycle. Illumination is the force of life.
