Opening of an art exhibition in the church’s vestibule after service. 

The Swedish artists Christine Ödlund and Fredrik Söderholm will be the distinguished anniversary guests of the Hallgrimskirkja Friends of the Arts Society, exhibiting religiously inspired art work in the church’s vestibule. Christine Ödlund’s work is influenced by theosophy, synaesthesia and natural science, but Fredrik Söderholm’s work often shows imagery of a religious nature. The artists make use of drawings, paintings, water colours and gold leaf. Christine Ödlund is also a professional electroacoustic musician.
