Susannah Carlsson started playing the piano according to the Suzuki method at the age of five. She played her first solo concert in the Gothenburg Concert Hall as a 12-year-old and as a piano soloist with orchestra as a 16-year-old. She has a master’s degree from The Royal Danish Academy of Music in Copenhagen in both piano and organ.
She has received a number of scholarships, including from the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm. Her professional activities were mainly based in Copenhagen, Denmark until she became assistant director of music at the Cathedral in Lund. Susannah freelances as a concert organist and also teaches improvisation and liturgical music at the Academy of Music in Malmö.
