The Chamber Choir of Hallgrímskirkja, Schola cantorum will give a Lunchtime Concert at 12 noon on Wednesday July 17.
The repertoire varies from Icelandic folk songs to english songs. Hörður Áskelsson is the conductor of Schola cantorum.

About SCHOLA CANTORUM – CHAMBER CHOIR OF HALLGRÍMSKIRKJA.
Schola Cantorum Reykjavicensis was founded in 1996 by the conductor Hörður Áskelsson, the cantor at Hallgrímskirkja (Hallgrim’s Church) in Reykjavík. Schola Cantorum has from the very start played an important role in the Icelandic
music scene with a repertoire that consists mainly of renaissance, baroque and contemporary music including numerous premier performances of works by
Icelandic composers. Among the choir´s latest performances in 2019 are premiére of Hafliði Hallgrímsson’s oratorium Mysterum and Alfred Schnittke´s famous Requiem.
Schola cantorum will give a lunchtime concert in Hallgrímskirkja every Wednesday from the 26th of June until the 28th of August. The concert starts at 12 noon.
