The famous Norwegian priest and composer, Trond Kverno will be celebrated in the Hallgrimskirkja Sunday service September 9th at 11 am . Organists are Hörður Áskelsson, Music Director of Hallgrímskirkja and Jónas Þórir, organist of Bústaðakirkja Reykjavík. The music in the service are mostly composed by Trond Kverno.
Members of the Hallgrímskirkja Motet Choir and the choir of Bústaðakirkja will lead the congregational singing and perform 3 pieces by the composer, among others Ave verum corpus og Salutaris Hostia under the direction of the composer.
Marit Agnes Nordahl Nergaard , the composer’s wife will play the Postludium at the great Klais organ.
Celebrants are Irma Sjöfn Óskarsdóttir and Kristján Valur Ingólfsson.
Coffee is served in the south wing after the service.
