BaroqueAros plays its concerts in Aarhus in the symphonic hall of Musikhuset and in the Aarhus Dome, but also in many other parts of Denmark, the music societies and churches have enjoyed the dedicated, sensitive and sparkling performances that characterize the concerts of the ensemble. The Icelandic mezzo-soprano singer Sigríður Ósk Kristjánsdóttir, who will be BaroqueAros special guest, has a great reputation both as opera and a baroque singer. Among other recognitions she was nominated for the Icelandic Music Awards for her outstanding performance as the Queen of Shiba in Handel’s oratorio Solomon at the Festival of Sacred Arts in Hallgrimskirkja 2015. She is a member of the baroque-ensemble Symphonia Angelica.
