{"id":3532,"date":"2016-12-15T18:15:10","date_gmt":"2016-12-15T18:15:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/listvinafelag.is\/?post_type=tribe_events&#038;p=3532&#038;lang=en"},"modified":"2016-12-15T18:15:10","modified_gmt":"2016-12-15T18:15:10","slug":"five-hundred-nails","status":"publish","type":"tribe_events","link":"https:\/\/listvinafelag.is\/en\/vidburdir\/five-hundred-nails\/","title":{"rendered":"FIVE HUNDRED NAILS"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Sunday May 21st at 12.15 pm.<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>&#8220;FIVE HUNDRED NAILS.&#8221;<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Opening of an art exhibition in the church&#8217;s vestibule after service.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Gr\u00e9tar Reynisson, who is known both for his work as an artist and set designer, exhibits new work inspired by the 500 anniversary of the Lutheran Reformation.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The artist on the exhibition:&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;This is a continuation of previous works of recent years, affiliated with collection, counting and registration. I&#8217;ve been working on a project since January 1st 1997, which is a kind of a growth project, or &#8220;work in progress,&#8221; whose main theme is the existential recording of time. The piece <em>Five Hundred Nails<\/em>, made for Hallgrimskirkja, on one hand consists of a timeline as we tend to measure time in days, weeks, months and years, and on the other, it&#8217;s made up of an existential understanding of time and a visualisation of that experience.&#8221;&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The exhibition is open until August 20th.
