O, HOLY NIGHT- THE MOTET CHOIR’S ANNUAL CHRISTMAS CONCERT FR\u00cdKIRKJAN \u00cd REYKJAV\u00cdK SUNDAY DECEMBER 19 AT 5 PM<\/p>\n

The Motet Choir has for almost forty years brought Christmas joy to the natives of Iceland and it\u2019s Christmas concerts are an important part of the lavish festivities in Reykjavik during the Advent.<\/p>\n

At this year\u2019s concert the choir will sing a choice of their favorite Christmas Songs with soloist \u00de\u00f3rgunnur Anna \u00d6rn\u00f3lfsd\u00f3ttir mezzosoprano and organist L\u00e1ra Brynd\u00eds Eggertsd\u00f3ttir. The program consists of wonderful Christmas music, both German hymns from the baroque era and an aria from Messiah by H\u00e4ndel as well as English carols and Christmas Music by Icelandic composers, among them is a beautiful Christmas<\/p>\n

Song by the conductor of the choir H\u00f6r\u00f0ur \u00c1skelsson. The concert will take place Sunday December 19th at 5 pm in Fr\u00edkirkjan \u00ed Reykjavik which is beautifully situated by the lake downtown Reykjav\u00edk and tickets are sold on TIX.IS<\/p>\n
