The title comes from one of the texts of the Requiem mass.<\/p>\n<p>In the concert, the choir will perform a diverse collection of religious compositions and arrangements by Icelandic and foreign composers alike, mostly from recent years. Schola Cantorum continues on the path laid out with the publication of the Meditatio album, which caught the attention of music lovers in Iceland and abroad for its challenging repertoire and refined performance. All the works will be performed a cappella &#8211; they are musically demanding but at the same time accessible, introspective and inspiring for meditation and the memory of departed souls.<\/p>\n<p>Schola Cantorum\u2018s conductor is H\u00f6r\u00f0ur \u00c1skelsson.<\/p>\n<p>This will be a poignant and uplifting music moment by one of Iceland\u2018s most prominent choirs in the unique acoustics of Hallgr\u00edm\u2018s church.<\/p>\n<p>Tickets at tix.is and in the Hallgr\u00edm&#8217;s church foyer on concert day.
