Steinar Logi Helgason<\/p><\/div>\n

Steinar Logi Helgason <\/strong>(b.1990) studied piano in the Reykjavi\u0301k Music School and the New music school under the tutelage of Jo\u0301nas Sen and in The Reykjavi\u0301k Collage of Music with Anna \u00deorgri\u0301msdo\u0301ttir. He started his studies in the Icelandic Church Music School in 2010 where he finished a Church organist degree before moving onto his Bachelor\u2019s degree in the Iceland Academy of the Arts, where Bjo\u0308rn Steinar So\u0301lbergsson was his main teacher. During the semester 2016-2017, Steinar attended the graduate course in Church music at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. Steinar has in his career conducted a number of choirs as well as having performed as a pianist, organist and conductor in various settings. Steinar is currently enrolled in the master\u2019s program in Ensemble Conducting at the Royal Danish Academy of Music<\/p>\n

\"Hafsteinn<\/a>

Hafsteinn \u00deo\u0301ro\u0301lfsson<\/p><\/div>\n

The Icelandic singer and composer Hafsteinn Thorolfsson<\/strong> studied at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama in London, graduating with a MMus degree in vocal music performance in 2005. He finished his BMus degree in composition from The Iceland Academy of the Arts in 2011 and his MMus degree in composition at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus in 2015. Hafsteinn has performed a wide selection of musical genres in Iceland and all over Europe, North America, China and Japan and his compositions have been performed in festivals in Iceland, Denmark, Norway, Sweden and Germany.<\/p>\n

Hafsteins choral composition Det d\u00f8ende barn to H.C. Andersens poem was premiered by Concert Clemens Aarhus at the Nordic music days in<\/p>\n

Copenhagen in 2015. Bornholm is originally a six piece cycle for 3 sopranos and organ which was commissioned by the group Tirilil for their concert tour<\/p>\n

of Bornholm in 2016.<\/p>\n

\"Fjo\u0308lnir<\/a>

Fjo\u0308lnir O\u0301lafsson<\/p><\/div>\n

Baritone Fjo\u0308lnir O\u0301lafsson <\/strong>commenced his singing studies in 2008 at the Reykjavik College of Music, after having trained as a Classical Guitarist from an early age. He then studied at the Hochschule fu\u0308r Musik Saar, graduating in 2014. Fjo\u0308lnir has appeared on numerous occasions on the concert platform in Germany and Iceland, in Brahms Requiem and Bach\u2019s St Matthew Passion to name but a few. At the Saarla\u0308ndische Staatstheater he has appeared in numerous productions, such as \u201cTosca\u201d and \u201cMacbeth\u201d. Fjo\u0308lnir has taken part in the \u201cLiedakademie des Heidelberger Fru\u0308hling\u201d, where he participated in Masterclasses with Thomas Hampson, Thomas Quastoff and Wolfram Rieger. He is a prizewinner in the \u201cInternational Joseph Suder Wettbewerb 2012\u201d and has been the recipient of numerous awards and grants, including the Walter und Charlotte Hamel Stiftung 2013 and the Icelandic Rotary Prize 2013. In 2013 he recieved the Newcomer of the Year award at the Iceland Music Awards 2013.<\/p>\n

\"O\u0308rn<\/a>

O\u0308rn Y\u0301mir Arason<\/p><\/div>\n

O\u0308rn Y\u0301mir Arason <\/strong>was born in Reykjavik in May 1988. At an early age he started singing in a choir and studying the double bass. O\u0308rn studied composition at the Icelandic Academy of the Arts and finished his degree in June 2014. There he also studied singing and is a member of the professional Reykjavikcensis Schola Cantorum choir in Hallgrimskirkja. O\u0308rn has composed for various dance artists in Iceland, chamber groups, choirs and for the National Theater in Reykjavik as well. He now lives in Reykjavik where he works as a singer, double bass player and composer.<\/p>\n
