Ragnarsson<\/p>\n<p>About SCHOLA CANTORUM \u2013 CHAMBER CHOIR OF HALLGR\u00cdMSKIRKJA.<\/p>\n<p>Schola Cantorum Reykjavicensis was founded in 1996 by the conductor H\u00f6r\u00f0ur \u00c1skelsson, the cantor at Hallgr\u00edmskirkja (Hallgrim\u2019s Church) in Reykjav\u00edk. Schola Cantorum has from the very start played an important role in the Icelandic music scene with a repertoire that consists mainly of renaissance, baroque and contemporary music including numerous premier performances of works by Icelandic composers. Among the choir\u00b4s latest performances in 2019 are premi\u00e9re of Hafli\u00f0i Hallgr\u00edmsson\u2019s oratorium Mysterum and Alfred Schnittke\u00b4s famous Requiem.<\/p>\n<p>Schola cantorum will give a lunchtime concert in Hallgr\u00edmskirkja every Wednesday from the 26th of June until the 28th of August.
