Hans-Ola Ericsson studied composition and the organ in Stockholm, Freiburg, USA and Venice. In 1989 he was appointed chaired professor in the church music and organ department at the School of Music in Piet\u00e0 at Lulea University, Sweden. In 1996 Ericsson was appointed Permanent Guest Professor at the Hochschule f\u00fcr K\u00fcnste in Bremen, Germany, and in 2011 Professor of Organ at McGill University, Montr\u00e9al, Canada.<\/p>\n
Hans-Ola Ericsson has given concerts throughout Europe as well as in Russia, Japan, Korea, the US, and Canada and he has worked extensively with composers such as Gy\u00f6rgy Ligeti, and Olivier Messiaen on the interpretation of their organ works.
