El\u00edsabet \u00de\u00f3r\u00f0ard\u00f3ttir studied the piano and graduated from the New Music School in Reykjavik in 2001 with R\u00f6gnvaldur Sigurj\u00f3nsson and Ragnar Bj\u00f6rnsson as principal teachers. 2001\u20122004 she studied at the \u201cMusikhochschule Luzern\u201d in Switzerland. In 2012 El\u00edsabet began her studies as a church musician at the National Church of Iceland’s Music School under the guidance of Bj\u00f6rn Steinar S\u00f3lbergsson with graduation in the spring of 2017 and soloist diploma in 2018. Since 2006 El\u00edsabet has taught the piano at the Hafnarfj\u00f6r\u00f0ur Music School as well as providing accompaniment. She has been the organist of K\u00e1lfatjarnarkirkja church on Reykjanes peninsula since 2012 and since 2017 the organist of Laugarneskirkja church in Reykjav\u00edk. <\/p>\n

Irena Ch\u0159ibkov\u00e1is the head organist of St. James’ Basilica in the Old Town of Prague. There she has founded several cycles of sacred music, including the St. James\u00b4 International Organ Festival which ranks among the leading European festivals. Her Sunday half-an-hour organ music in the Basilica are extremely popular.<\/p>\n

Irena Ch\u0159ibkov\u00e1 studied the organ at the Krom\u011b\u0159\u00ed\u017e Conservatoire under K. Pokora, at the Academy of Arts in Prague under Prof M. \u0160lechta (1980-1986) and in Parisunder Susan Landale (1985). Successes at numerous organ competitions promoted her concert career and she has toured extensively as a concert artist widely around the world. She has also cooperated with leading musicians, choirs and orchestras. <\/p>\n

Ms Ch\u0159ibkov\u00e1\u2019s repertoire includes organ literature ranging from Baroque up to contemporary music with emphasis on French organ music, the organ music of J. S. Bach and Czech organ music with emphasis on her predecessors at the organ in the St. James\u2019 Basilika.<\/p>\n
